ALT + Springfield's Southern Food Pantry

Hey All,

Tonight, SCAB and SSC services will host ALT, a campus-wide event in which students may, instead of venturing unto the vibrant Cedarville metropolis, stay on campus to enjoy a number of exciting activities, including the showing of Batman: The Dark Night, myriad board games, karaoke via 'Cedarville Idol,' etc. There is no fee for these events; instead, the university asks that those who attend donate what they would have spent gallivanting outside of CU to Springfield's struggling Southern Food Pantry. Unless this food pantry is able to raise funds by May, they will be forced to close, leaving over 110 dependent families without this much-needed source of support and community. Cedars published an article about the Southern Food Pantry in its latest edition.

During the ALT event, then, Tau Delta Kappa officers will run two tables in the SSC. You may, should you find yourself so willing, give money to these officers. All proceeds raised will go directly to the struggling pantry. This is the same food pantry that Fast for Food supported with their event last night.

We thank you for your dedicated, intentional support for those in need.

Happy Friday,

Michael Shirzadian,
President of Tau Delta Kappa
